I'm not a "royal watcher" in any way... but Meghan Markle's style hooked me from day one. Her coat game, in particular, was on point.
Most of her best coats were from Mackage.
Today, most of my best coats are from Mackage.
These are the kind of well-made coats you refer to as "garments" and "pieces." When you gift one to a friend, it immediately elevates your friendship status.
And the coat itself isn't even the best part.
👉 Mackage will dry-clean your coat for you. 🤯 👉 They'll replace the zipper. 👉 They'll fix any tears. 👉 They'll correct any loose stitches.
My reading this - people who are not you, Muhammad 😇 - will search "mackage" and see that these are relatively expensive coats. And get dismissive.
Sadly, those are the same people who hear about $50K copywriting projects with $10K performance retainers and get dismissive. They haven't experienced anyone spending real money for their services... so they assume it just doesn't happen.
They aren't attracting the right people.
They aren't attracting people who value quality.
What people who spend money for quality know is this: we will spend a lot of money for very, very good quality.
You want clients who want quality.
Those clients will spend good money with you repeatedly:
✔️ On the first project, ✔️ On a performance retainer to optimize that first project, ✔️ On the next project, ✔️ On a performancer retainer for that project and ✔️ Forevermore.
In exchange, they require quality.
That's not just great copy. Although it's also def-in-ite-ly great copy.
For a client spending five figures or more on a project, "quality" includes:
✔️ Seamless meeting scheduling, where the conversation is always in the client's time zone and consideration is always given to what you know about their lifestyle.
✔️ Anticipating client needs so well that they're baked into your processes and systems. If the client is overseas, you ask what method of payment and currency is easiest for them, and you follow what they tell you.
✔️ Giving them your phone number so they can call you directly. It's not a nuisance; it's hospitality that's in keeping with the price they're paying. You can set boundaries, but you can also text with them on a Saturday afternoon if that's the kind of service you'd want as a client.
When an experience with a freelancer feels high quality, it leaves an impression.
No other freelancers treat leads as well as Muhammad treats leads. No other freelancers treat clients as well as Muhammad treats clients.
You don't have to settle for bad clients who don't value what you do.
Now more than ever - if someone's hiring you, it's because they want quality.
Let me show you what happens when you *deliver* it.
Happy Day 1, jo :)
